The USA national team drew 1-1 with Switzerland in an international friendly on Tuesday.
Juergen Klinsmann's side produced a favourable result against the world's 12th-ranked country in Zurich despite losing Jozy Altidore to a red card for the final 20 minutes.
Orlando City left-back Brek Shea opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time with a bending 20-yard free-kick for his second international goal this year before Toronto FC striker Altidore received a second caution on 68 minutes which reduced the visitors to ten men.
That allowed Switzerland to respond through Hertha Berlin midfielder Valentin Stocker who prodded home from close range after Granit Xhaka's cross from the left.
The match followed USA's 3-2 loss to Denmark in Aarhus last week and saw goalkeeper William Yarbrough make his debut for the US, coming on as a sub for Nick Rimando at half-time.
