Now it appears the Blues' co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have more unrest on their hands.
"'They want to meet you' was how Marc Keller (former Strasbourg player and current president) put it when he announced the sale of the club last June," a statement from Strasbourg fans sent out in March read.
"Months went by and, despite our reminders, none of BlueCo's shareholders came to see us.
"Out of respect for Marc Keller, his work for the club over the last twelve years, and above all his confidence in the new owners, we waited. By the end of January, our patience had run out and we asked for a final meeting with the shareholders, to be held no later than the end of February.
"Here we are in March and we still haven't seen anyone. So it's time to take stock of this new page in the history of Racing (Club de Strasbourg Alsace). Racing is now nothing more than a financial asset, owned by an investment fund that already owns another football club."
