Spartak Moscow sports director Tomas Amaral has denied contact with David Moyes.

London press reports have stated Moyes is a target for Spartak.

But Amaral has been quick to play down the claims. He said: "Moyes? These are rumours, not true."

However, insider Ivan Karpov said on his Telegram channel that Moyes was approached not by representatives of the Moscow club, but by intermediaries.

On April 14, Spartak announced the resignation of Spaniard Guillermo Abascal. Vladimir Sliskovich is currently caretaker coach.
