The Giallorosso won 3-0 thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham, Stephan El Shaarawy and Nicolò Zaniolo.

Marash Kumbulla's shirt-tug gave Waalwijk the opportunity to score from the penalty spot, but Seutjens could only hit the crossbar.

Roma defender Chris Smalling missed the game due to an ankle injury.
