Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has opened up about the biggest moment of his managerial career.
The German head coach, who is being linked with his national team's job this week, revealed his top achievement.
Klopp told Bild that securing promotion to the Bundesliga with Mainz 05 is still his greatest achievement as a manager.
“Still promoted with Mainz 05," he stated in response to the question.
"I lost more Champions League finals than most people played. Winning it once is cool, big and important. It felt very, very special. But it is the special story.
"At that time, nobody needed Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga. We were a team with players who got the second chance. Whose career was already halfway over. In the end we made it after failing spectacularly twice.
“The conditions were so bad that it was the greatest success I've ever had. Nobody really believed we could do that. We stayed stubborn and pushed through. Later I won bigger titles, but I also had better teams at my disposal, better conditions, a lot more money."
