The attacker is a huge doubt for the remainder of the tournament after picking up an ankle injury in their first match against Serbia.

The PSG star is not playing against Cameroon, but his status for the Round of 16 and beyond is not yet known.

Per assistant coach Cleber Xavier, Neymar's status will be the subject of conversation over the weekend.

"They are progressing," Brazil assistant Xavier said Thursday of injured players.

"We are focused on the game against Cameroon, and then we will start the decision-making process about these players.

“We already have a plan prepared for their return."
