Post-game, Hainer said: "I think Thomas Tuchel did an excellent job. A tactical masterpiece.
"The fact that he played with Nous Mazraoui and Guerreiro was a perfect fit."
Director of Sport Max Eberl added: "Simply done cleverly. Serge was out, Phonzy (Davies) was suspended.
"They discussed it very cleverly with the coaching staff how they wanted to do it."
