Arsenal manager Arteta adamant they know how to snap sudden slump

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes they have improved this season compared to last.

The Gunners have suffered a downturn in form in recent weeks, as they did around this stage last season.

Having led the Premier League, they are now behind Manchester City, which was the case last term as well.

On the two blips, Arteta stated: “It's what it is. We have to accept it. In the two games, especially the Bayern one at home, at the beginning it could have been different. I have reviewed the Villa game three times and I think we were the better team.

“We should have won, but we paid the price for not taking our chances and for the chances that we gave them. Now it's not about talking too much, we have to show what we're made of against Wolves and turn the situation around. The turnaround can look really positive for us."

On positives from this term, he added: “It hasn't been good because of the results, but it's been very good in other experiences. In other situations we've done really well.

“Who knows how good it's going to be for us in Wolves or to fight better for the Premier League. I don't know. Nobody knows."
