Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent has discussed the future of the Russian striker with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp. He only joined Spurs from Spartak Moscow last summer, but has endured a difficult first season in England.

"The conversation was quite detailed and, importantly, very useful," Pavlyuchenko's agent Oleg Artemov told Sport Express.

"After our meeting Redknapp, I think, now understands better a few details concerning Roman.

"It seems to me that next year Pavlyuchenko has every chance to play for Tottenham."
