O'Neil said, "I'm slightly disappointed that we're not able to push at this moment.
"If I wouldn't have seen this coming I would have been really disappointed in myself. But myself and Matt Hobbs both flagged these situations to the club in January.
"We warned them that we were overloading the players because it was such a small group and there was potential for injuries because we use them so often.
"We also warned them that if we lost a few attacking players it would make a big difference to what we're able to achieve.
"We flagged this to the club, but unfortunately the club weren't in a position to be able to act on it and help us. And then, two weeks after the window closed we lose a load of attackers and you aren't able to do anything about it.
"Forty-two points with the difficulties we've had is a bigger achievement than most people recognise."
