Valero told AS: "The most difficult thing Kroos does is to make everything easy. This is what impresses the most. He doesn't seem to sweat, he doesn't get dirty, then he always passes with the right timing and with the right power.
"It seems like he doesn't work in the defensive phase but he recovers a lot of balls thanks to his sense of position. I told him in a comment on social media that I cried even more as a Real fan."
Asked if Jude Bellingham can replace Kroos, Valero said: "No, it's a completely different thing. They are two players who can complement each other. Giving Bellingham the freedom to move around the pitch is very positive but Real Madrid without Kroos needs another player to do that job: take the ball in defense, make the pass to the attacking midfielders... Bellingham has to deal more with the final part than with the construction."
