Sky Deutschland says Bayern bosses agreed with Tuchel and his advisor on Wednesday to work on continuing their collaboration beyond the end of the season. However, there is not yet a final agreement, as there are still some details to be clarified.
Above all, the duration of the contract has not yet been clarified. Bayern are insisting on the current duration of the contract - until 2025, i.e. an additional season. However, Tuchel now wants a greater show of trust with a new contract that is said to be dated until 2026.
While the focus is now on Tuchel, Bayern still have alternatives on their list. Should an agreement with the German fail, Robert De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion or Erik ten Hag from Manchester United would still be possible candidates.
