The former Bologna coach played for Prandelli, who is convinced he can handle the pressure in Turin.
He told La Repubblica: "I have had the opportunity to appreciate him over the years and he is perhaps the coach of the new generation who has been able to convince me the most, because he is not tied to numbers or a game system, he knows how to change whenever necessary, developing ideas and concepts of high-quality play, he is interested in how to develop possession, how to occupy spaces. And in fact the players always follow him.
"A tough guy, of great depth. He spoke little but when he did he always said the right things and everyone listened to him. On the pitch he was always lucid but also physically strong, sometimes perhaps too much. This however makes us understand his great temperament and his desire to always achieve one's goals.
"He is not the type to let himself be influenced by pressure. Then he knows important environments well, he played with Barcelona, Inter and PSG for example."
