Leicester, AEK eyeing FC Rostov winger Pontus Almqvist

FC Rostov bought  Almqvist, 24, from IFK Norrköping in October 2020.

Since spring 2022, Almqvist has been on loan due to the war in Ukraine - first with FC Utrecht and then Pogon Szcecin.

Last season he was loaned to Lecce in Serie A.

The attacking winger scored three goals and provided three assists in 32 competitive games for the Italians.

SDNA says AEK Athens have been offered  the Swede. The Greeks are considering making a bid for Almqvist.

But there's also interest from the Premier League. Leicester City, now back in the top flight next season,   are looking seriously at Almqvist.
