Runjaic arrives after being in charge of Legia Warsaw for the past two seasons. He succeeds Fabio Cannavaro, who guided Udinese away from relegation on a short-term deal.
Udinese announced this morning: "Udinese Calcio is pleased to announce that coach Kosta Runjaic will lead the Bianconeri next season.
"Trained in Germany, Runjaic has been able to offer a modern, proactive and high-intensity football, always attentive to the growth of young talents, showing great communication skills and adaptability to the different technical-tactical needs of his teams. Qualities that have led him to win, in the last two years in Poland, a national Cup and a Super Cup.
"Now the coach will have the opportunity to show his qualities in Serie A with Udinese. A context of excellence in an increasingly globalized football, where knowledge of international realities represents an experiential value."
