Ausilio insists Inzaghi's new contract will soon be settled.
He told Sky Italia: "Behind there is the idea of continuity, the idea of following the path undertaken a few years ago The fourth year will begin with Inzaghi, the last one has been fantastic... Our way of thinking about football is simple, we want to be competitive straight away and confirm ourselves, also because the others are organising themselves very well.
"The team is already strong like this, if there are opportunities we will be there otherwise we will still be ready for the start of the championship."
Inzaghi's agent Tulio Tinti has since revealed: "We are talking, in my opinion he will remain at Inter until 2037. A ten-year agreement.
