Palace closing on deal for Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada

Crystal Palace are said to be close to securing the 27-year-old as a free agent.

Per The Standard, Palace have put in a contract offer to Kamada and believe he will accept.

There was a belief that he would renew his deal with Lazio, but the two parties were unable to come to an agreement.

His salary was an issue, while Lazio would not agree to a specific release clause in his deal.

Now he will work for Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who managed him at Eintracht Frankfurt.
