"He was about to come on, Gonzalo had just arrived and didn’t know the language much, so Steve Cooper called me to be his translator.

“I never imagined that at 20 years old I would have a world champion as a partner, and then that he needed my help with the language, it is something that has marked me a lot during this time.”
