He said: "Thank you very much on behalf of everyone at Manchester City. Everyone who knows football knows that if there is one thing more difficult than winning it is winning again.
"There is always the fear that there will be a bit of complacency, of that 5% less effort that can be fatal in a championship like the Premier League. There is a reason why no one has ever won the English championship three times in a row.
"The reason is because it is very difficult. Winning it and winning it again makes us proud. We try to express the values of hard work, tenacity and the desire to win. There was a moment where we had to win nine games in a row and we did it.
"It's not an exclusive value of City but we expressed a positive message to the young people: to win you have to work very hard, be tenacious and be united. This is a team sport."
