Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has sung the praises of Girona.
City's Spanish satellite club have qualified for next season's Champions League.

And Khaldoon said: "With the sixteenth largest wage bill among twenty teams, they have managed to compete to the end with Madrid, Barça and Atlético ... In football terms, what they have done is extraordinary.
"You don't reach that level if each component that is part of Girona does not give a superlative level."
Al Mubarak also had praise for coach Míchel and sporting director Quique Cárcel.
He added, "Girona is an example of a club that can improve if it is well managed. We have seen perfection with Míchel as coach, Quique Cárcel as sports director ... They have all surpassed themselves."
