And today, he told VTM: "For my wife, an adventure in an exotic country wouldn't be a problem and we often talk about it as a family.
"I still have a year left on my contract with City so we have to think about what to do. My eldest son, who is eight, only knows England and often asks me if I will continue to play in Manchester.
"At my age you have to be open to everything. You're talking incredible amounts of money in what may be the last experience of my career. And you have to think about these things.
"If I played there for two years, I could earn an incredible amount of money, which I wouldn't earn if I played another 15 years. You can't pretend not to think about these things."
