Conte has loved working with Lukaku in the past and wants to bring in the Blues striker.
Lukaku, who was on loan at Roma last season, may now join Conte’s Napoli instead.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea would very much prefer a straight sale to secure funds for their own purchases.
They are chasing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who does have a valid release clause this summer.
