Ayari, 20, left Brighton for a loan with Coventry City this past summer.
But during the January window there was instead a new loan, then to Blackburn Rovers.
Now the midfielder admits to Expressen: "It has been up and down, hard to progress.
"But it has been instructive, you learn a lot, not only on the pitch but off it as well. It hasn't been the best season but you learn a lot."
Ayari accounted for one assist in 13 games for Rovers. With Coventry, it was a goal in 13 games.
The 20-year-old does not rule out a return to Blackburn next season.
"It was a good loan, I didn't get to play as much as I wanted, but every time I got to jump in I did well and they appreciated what I did.
"I spoke to the coach before I left and he wants me back there, but we'll see what happens."
Ayari's contract with Brighton runs until the summer of 2027.
