Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino has ducked rumours linking him with Barcelona.
While with Spain at the Euros, Merino is being linked with the Catalans.

He said, "From the first moment I set foot in a professional team, I have always said that any rumors or connections to another team are something positive for the club I am in.
"It is a very good sign that there is interest, that I am doing well, that I am playing at a good level.
"(But) we give zero weight to this type of news within the camp. We try to represent the national team in the best possible way.
"We have a unique opportunity to win an EC. Anything that goes out of that mentality, I think, is not a lack of respect, but a loss of focus from our main goal."
