Garcia Pimienta was presented to the local media on Wednesday.
He said, "People are free to think what they want and the club is coming off two difficult years. We must work and make the fans feel proud.
"I come here to try to win. With the type of players we have, we will play the football we can play to win. That the fan feels identified with their team is the most important thing, proud of what their players transmit . Everything will depend on the players we have.
"I come to a big, very big club and how we do it will be seen, but here the important thing is to win.
"I know perfectly well where I am coming from, I have no fear , I feel prepared. I have seen Sevilla from the outside. I really know the players when I see them training. We will have the best possible squad to achieve our objectives. What I want is to win and I I adapt to the profile that we may have where I am training.
"My obligation is to get the most out of each player. If I have to adapt to them, I have no problem.
"I don't know what has happened from here in the past. I am very happy to be coach of Sevilla, I feel prepared. I don't want to know anything about the past, only about the present and the future. We are going to have a magnificent squad."
He added: "We have had a very good season in Las Palmas. I was clear that I wanted to come here because they gave me confidence. They convinced me easily. There is a very nice challenge. This is a very big club and when I came to play here the rivals have a very bad time. We must take Sevilla where they deserve."
