Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso has spoken about staying at the club this summer.

However, he has committed to the Bundesliga and German Cup winners, turning down Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the process.
“That’s kind of behind the curtains,” he told CNN when asked if Liverpool contacted him.
“All these decisions, they need to be thorough,” he added.
“You need to really think about them. And it was more about what I had, not what I’m missing.
“For sure, my bond with Liverpool is there and it’s still there. So there’s no, any kind of issue with that.”
