Casillas began: "Real Madrid has a winning DNA that makes it not give up a ball until the end. The club always talks to you about dedication, sacrifice and fight. The connection that the team has with the Champions League is something that you live when you are in the countryside."
Furthermore, Casillas confessed that as a fan he would like the forward to continue next season.
"Joselu was the protagonist of the match (semifinal), I am very happy for him. He is a local kid and a wonderful boy who takes advantage every time he goes out. It's a club thing, but as a fan I would like him to stay," he stressed.
The former Real Madrid goalkeeper was also in favour of Lunin being Real Madrid's goalkeeper in the final despite Thibaut Courtois' recovery.
"Lunin has shown that he is a reliable goalkeeper, that he can be there at any time. It is not a question of whether it is my doing or not, but Lunin would have to play," he added.
