The midfielder suffered a thigh problem at the start of the season, which kept him out until the end of October. From there another break was needed until the end of February, caused by an Achilles tendon injury.
At the end of February he made a return, but he suffered a relapse last weekend.

At this point Newcastle, says the Daily Mail, have decided that his season ends here and the focus will now be on Willock undergoing a full recovery for next season.
