Nunez, who has been guilty of missing chances this term, is the one who can fire the Reds to Premier League and Europa League glory.
"We lost him for a couple of weeks but this season he has been unbelievable," said the Liverpool left-back after the midweek win and ahead of a title clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
"No defender likes coming up against him, he can run in behind, he can hold the ball up and now he's starting to add composure to his finishes.
"He needs to keep going and he needs to keep scoring goals for us because that's the only way we are going to be successful this season.
He was excellent on Thursday and came through it fine with his hamstring, which is an important thing and hopefully that's him good to go for the rest of the season."
