The 16 year-old winger is delighted that Barcelona are refusing to sell him.
"Bara's no to a bid of 200 million euros? I am happy that my work is recognised, but I focus on playing," says Yamal to Mundo Deportivo.
"That I stay? They can have peace of mind, there are still two years left on the contract."
Yamal still hopes that Xavi, who announced his departure at the end of the season, will remain as coach.
"I would be very happy if Xavi continues, but at the age of 16 I don't think I can go to his office and ask him.
"Who gives me the best advice? I think all the captains, veterans, help me a lot."
He added: "Jersey number 10? It's Ansu's (on loan to Brighton), but if he's not here in the end I'd be proud. It would be anyone's dream to become Bara's number 10. Nobody in the world would say no, but it's something the club should deal with."
