As the Netherlands star looks to book his Euro 2024 spot, he hopes to have a big game against Liverpool this weekend.

Speaking on international duty, Verbruggen said: Every game I play from now until the European Championships is just super important for my club and for convincing the national coach that I am the man for the summer.

"I go back to my club and pick up where we left off."

Verbruggen did play the last time the two teams met, a 2-2 draw at the Albion earlier this season.
