Kounde said: "I'm very, very, very excited.
"It's my first quarter-final of a European competition, the whole team has a great desire to play. We arrived at this match in a great way, but it doesn't matter for us we have the label of favourites that has been given to us. This is a purely journalistic thing. We are confident, but we also know how tough it will be."
When asked how Kylian Mbappe can be stopped, he replied: "We'll see what the coach decides to do. I know Kylian because we played together with France and I know he can make the difference. Obviously we'll try to stem him, but succeeding will require teamwork and not that of an individual. And the same goes for (Ousmane) Dembele too."
On Barcelona's form, Kound added: "We have recovered in defensive solidity compared to last year. If we don't concede goals it is much easier to bring home the result. (Pau) Cubarsi? He's very young, but he always trains great. Like him (Lamine) Yamal and Fermin Lopez are also great examples for the Masia boys."
