St Etienne are counting on the French Cup final being staged - as it will mean an extra bonus due from Arsenal.

ASSE are due to face PSG, though there remains a debate whether the final will be held after the league season was abandoned on orders from the Macron government.

L'Equipe says as part of Saliba's move to Arsenal, ASSE would be due an extra €2.5m should he complete a third of games this season while on-loan.

And after an injury-plagued campaign, Saliba could yet hit the required mark if the defender starts the Cup final.

Saliba originally joined Arsenal last summer for a fee of €25m.
