Ex-Man Utd striker Wilson cut loose by Port Vale

Manchester United academy product James Wilson is seeing his career slide continue.

The talented attacker was seen as a huge prospect at United when he was younger.

However, he has now been released by Port Vale after their relegation from League One.

Wilson had been at Vale for the past two seasons, but could not help them survive this term.

Wilson is among a group of players to be released, with the club cutting costs.

The forward made his United debut back in 2014 when Ryan Giggs was in interim charge.
