Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is holding back new signing Nikola Kalinic.
Allardyce says his new £6million hitman Kalinic, 21, will not get a run-out at Sunderland next weekend.
Instead the Croatian international, who joined from Hajduk Split, will get his first taste of English football in the Carling Cup at Gillingham.
