Hull boss Dowie tribute to warrior Boateng
Hull City boss Iain Dowie has paid tribute to departing midfielder George Boateng.
The Dutchman, 34, is out of contract this summer and will be part of a mass exodus as the Tigers get a grip on their £35million debt.
Hull host Liverpool tomorrow and KC Stadium chief Dowie said: "George Boateng has been a warrior for me. He wouldn't pretend to be Beckham and he wouldn't pretend to be Gerrard.
"But he puts himself on the line, he's a bubbly man and cares deeply."
