Ex-West Ham striker Hartson: I should never have kicked Berkovic in head

Celtic legend John Hartson regrets his infamous clash with former West Ham United teammate Eyal Berkovic.

Hartson is infamous for being caught on camera kicking his teammate in Hammers training.

He told the Daily Mail: "Kicking Eyal Berkovic in the head in training at West Ham. I'm deeply ashamed of that. I've always got on great with Eyal - before and after. We've been at EuroDisney with our families together. It was just a split second of madness which I deeply, deeply regret. I had to leave the country to get away and train on my own in Cannes."
