Arsenal captain William Gallas has gone public on the frictions within the Arsenal squad after repeated criticism of his captaincy and behaviour.
"When, as captain, some players come up to you and talk to you about a player...complaining about him... and then during the match you speak to this player and the player in question insults us," Gallas told AP. "There comes a time where we can no longer comprehend how this can happen.
"I am trying to defend myself a bit without giving names. Otherwise I'm taking it all (the blame). It's very frustrating," he said. "I'm 31, the player is six years younger than me."
He has also revealed a bust-up at half-time of the 4-4 draw with Spurs, saying: "There was a problem at halftime. The only thing that I could say at halftime was 'Guys, we resolve these problems after the match, not at halftime.'
"We have to understand that to be champions, you have to play big matches every weekend and fight. We are coming up against teams who are not scared to play football against us, who are not scared to take us on at our place, and this is becoming dangerous for Arsenal.
"We are not brave enough in battle. I think we need to be soldiers. We have to be warriors. There are teams who can do it well against us, and we have to be able to face up to these attacks."

A captain would defend his own team-mates. Even if there is a rift in there, he should never had turn to the press and spill out the beans. Arsenal are crumbling thanks to him, Willy Gallas
Whoever it is...it just boils
Whoever it is...it just boils down to gallas's leadership..he is bull *****. Maybe the one that is causing the rift is a 31-year old guy and he just didn't want to say it's himself, so he framed others!! Wenger should shoulder some of the blame though, he bought gallas and he keep playing bendtner in the expense of vela!! No doubt his youngsters are brilliant, but some are really incompetent...haiz.

Gallas never had the ability to captain any team, he is cocky, blames other players, ill-discipline to hold the line and always ventures up. Rubbish Captain which ***** big time. Fabergarcs, Alumina, Toure would be better choices, Gallas is a clown which thinks he is great. Learn more from good captains like Terry, Gerrard, Carragher, Neville - Less talk and more action. But on the flip side, coming from a pool fan, I luv gallas as he weakens a top 4 rival. At the rate Arsenal are going, I beleive Villa is more of a threat then Arsenal.

gallas is just again showing is true colors. he's a mental midget, a terrible leader, sh*tty team-mate and past his prime player. bench players don't air the dirty laundry let alone a captain, he's a goner next year not a gooner!

Sell Gallas. Gallas never should have been bought, he has done nothing but harm Arsenal. Gallas is the worst team captain in the history of the EPL. He is defensively and psychologically weak, he doesn't command the respect of his teammates in any way, he doesn't command the respect of anyone else in the EPL, he's not a top defender in any sense. Gallas isn't good enough to make the bench at Chelsea, United, or Liverpool, and he's not good enough to start at Manchester City, or even Tottenham! He's crap all the way around! Sell Gallas now!

I still cannot see the wisdom behind sending sanderous to loan and bringing in sylvestre.the 2 defenders are always shaking when confronted by sound strikers.wenger should sign players come january or else finish the season at 13th position.

Anyway, Gallas, you;re the captain so that you CAN take the blame on you, you should protect your players, as a captain you don't say such things, you *****! Take his armband and give it to Touré, too bad he injured himself during the internationals.
