Zola: West Ham players break justified with Everton point

West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola feels last week's break was justified by their 2-2 draw at Everton.

The Italian was criticised for giving his players three days off last week, but Zola said Sunday's result justified his decision.

He said: "They had played three tough games in seven days - three defeats. It was necessary for them to clear their minds and then come back to train hard."
