Didier Zokora has urged Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp to lift David Bentley's spirits after his shootout miss in Sunday's Carling Cup final defeat.

Redknapp admitted Bentley's penalty was "poor" - and fellow midfielder Zokora feels the Spurs boss will need to play a key role in lifting the spirits of the £17million summer signing.

"Maybe for me, David Bentley needs the confidence of the manager," said Zokora.
