Zinedine Zidane insists Real Madrid could've performed better this season without him.
Before today's meeting with Villarreal, Zidane was quizzed if he believes Real Madrid could be a better team with a different coach at the helm.
"Certainly," he replied, curtly.
Asked about his relationship with the dressing room and the fact that various players would like Zidane to stay, the coach said he appreciated this.
"I love my players a lot and they've always saved me on the pitch," he said.
"I will always appreciate them. For them to think [good things of me] is very nice."
Finally, the coach was asked about Sergio Ramos' situation with the national team and if Luis Enrique should call him up.
"I'm not the coach of Spain, but if you ask me then I would always take him everywhere," Zidane replied.
