Zenit St Petersburg defender Dejan Lovren has no regrets leaving Liverpool.
While convinced he could still have played a role for the Premier League champions, Lovren is confident he made the right choice to leave.
"Yes, of course I could do the job," said the 31-year-old. "Do I have regrets? No, I don't think so.
"I was there for six years, and for four-and-a-half years it was a really good time but for the last year-and-a-half it was not a good time.
"Did they use me as much as I wanted? No. But could I accept it? Yes, I accepted it. But it was not an easy time for me.
"But I'm not regretting going away, I am playing now regularly every week again and I'm captain. So it's totally different for me."
