Former Inter Milan star Ze Maria feels they're in a rebuilding phase.

The Brazilian is sorry to see Douglas Maicon depart for Manchester City.

He told TMW: "Inter have given away so many important players and it takes time to create an important foundation to win.

"The lack of Maicon has brought to light a problem on the wings: Zanetti is there, but as the years pass that role doesn't suit him."
