Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti insists the club is on the rise.

Zanetti is confident they'll be competitive next season.

"Inter will return to being protagonists," Zanetti told reporters as he attended a charity match at Expo 2015.

"We've won a lot in the past, and we'll do everything possible to make it happen again.

"It's a difficult time for Italian football at the moment, but we'll make it."
