Alberto Zaccheroni has quit his job with Japan and admits retirement is an option.
The former AC Milan and Inter Milan coach had been in charge of Japan for four years, but resigned after their group phase exit from the World Cup.
"I am very sad to leave this country," Zac told journalists as he boarded a plane in Tokyo.
"I have not lost my passion for football, but retirement is an option."
