Ashley Young hailed Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea after victory at Crystal Palace.
With the score locked at 1-1, the Reds' goalkeeper thwarted Glenn Murray with a close-range stop before keeping out volleys from the striker and Wilfried Zaha.
"He's been making save after save for us and that one today was vitally important," Young told MUTV. "Maybe that spurred us on to get the winning goal. It was fantastic and I thanked him after the game.
"We went in 1-0 up and we knew they were going to come out in the second half and put us under pressure. They did that for pretty much the whole of the second half. We had to dig deep and defend as team, and that's exactly what we've done."
