Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson is convinced he can bring out the best in Michael Woods.
The 21-year-old midfielder arrived on non-contract terms in February and featured in Yeovil's Somerset Premier Cup defeat by Clevedon on Tuesday.
Johnson was upbeat over former Chelsea player Woods' appearance, adding: "I was pleased he was making breaks and runs in the 90th minute.
"It was good that he knew that he had to put in a bit of a workrate for himself, that was important."
Woods began his career at Leeds before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2006, with Chelsea subsequently paying £5m in compensation for taking him and Tom Taiwo from Elland Road .
The midfielder made his first-team debut for the Blues at the age of 16, but had not made an appearance since the 2006-07 campaign.Johnson told BBC Somerset: "It was very important for him (to play), he's been a long time out of the game."
