Yallop ecstatic after San Jose home victory against Real Salt Lake

San Jose earthquakes head coach Frank Yallop is happy to secure three points.

Speaking to reporters after his team's 2-1 home win against Real Salt Lake, head coach Frank Yallop was more than relieved to finally see the points in the bag.

"I'm obviously very happy with the three points," he said.

"I thought our performance was good; it was a very mature performance. We've worked a lot the last two weeks, being solid as a unit and we're trying to be difficult to break down.

"We needed to win this game tonight and we won it. I think that the guys really showed character to play like they did under pressure. I feel that I have turned the screws a little bit and they have responded really well as a group. They never quit, I'll always say that about this team and the players we have. To me it's important."

San Jose currently sit seventh in the western conference with eight points from eleven games.
