Xavi wants to be placed among Barcelona's best paid as his agent opens new contract talks.
Sport says Xavi's rep, Ivan Corretja, has submitted demands worth £5.5 million-a-year for the midfielder to commit his best years to Barca.
Xavi wants to be placed on similar wages to teammates Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o.
