Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Prieto has welcomed the appointment of David Moyes as new manager. Moyes was named as the next Real Sociedad boss late on Monday night - seven months after he was sacked as Manchester United manager.
"The team is looking forward to meeting him and being at his service," said Prieto to Real Sociedad TV.
"He is a great coach, very prestigious and hopefully here can also prove himself."
The midfielder added: "It is very difficult to be in a club many years as he was at Everton, a sign that he did things very well, building the club and qualifying for several years in Europe.
"We hope that through Real we can do something, help us grow, give us stability and improve the team and move up."
